Facial Proportion- Half Portrait
This year in art class, we have learned a lot of new techniques that we need to use in several different works. In This One we need to use the face proportion and shading techniques. This was one of the most challenging but fun work I have ever made. In this year we several face proportion projects, but this one was the amazing. One thing is when you draw an x person but when you draw yourself with all the human details that we have its totally different. Also you have to work the different shades that are in your face and that is the most challenging part of all the work.While I worked on this project I realized all the little details that the humans have in their face. And how hard it is to draw. If you want to acomplish thi work you had to aply all the skills that we learned throughout the year and combine the in one project. Some tools that we used help us to make a better and more realistic work. Tools like: the blending stick and shading pencils made a great job with the shades that we the human have. In some points of the project I was very, very frustated because in some aspects it looked like a comic character adn very inrealistic but the final work was very good and i felt satisfied with it.

This was an awesome project. This helped to express yourself and to express the things you like. Sometimes is dificult to express the things that you feel or like but this kind of project can help you al lot. When I was thinking what to put in the project i realize that is very,very dificult to identify the things that like you a lot. For this project i needed to see very deep inside me to acomplish this piece. At first I dindnt like this project because is ver dificult to search very deep inside yourself to find the things you like and sahre it with others. But each drawing helped me expresing me and at the end i realize that was one of the better projects I made.
In this project we used diferent technique that we learned in this and past years. Mostly what we used was pencil and watercolor techniques. This was one of the most dificult part of the year the watercolors. Because, the watercolor spread in all the paper and mixes with other colors and is a total mess. So you need to paint part by part and it takes a very very long time and a lot of patience. You have to put a lot of atention and patience because you have to put the exact amount of water, if not all the paper is going to desintegrate and loose shape and contexture. At the end I was very happy with my final work because it was collorful,l nice and expressed my feelings.
